Elegant Trumpet Wedding Dress
The dress initially was strapless but I had alterations done by Gigi’s of Mequon (WI) and there are straps that come close together in the back. I didn’t realize how much I loved that look until I tried it on (my BFF/MOH did the same to hers the next year!).
I loved the snug fit on the top and around my hips and the trumpet flare at the bottom. This dress feels very light, which was good for an August wedding. I believe it came as a size 6 and it was altered to a size 4. I was a size B cup at the time.
The belt with the gold adornment on the front was just enough to add a little “something” to it (it is removable), and I had a hairpiece to match it once the veil came off at the reception.
I didn’t even realize it was blush-colored until the saleswoman pointed it out. It is very light blush, but perfect. I didn’t want bright white. There is a very delicate peony pattern when you look up close. I had a small train and it can be pinned up for the reception after the ceremony. Easy to dance/sit in. A good dress for any body shape.
The veil is included, should you want it (see pic). I felt like a Princess!
