Beautiful Elegant Feminine Sleeveless Ball Gown Wedding Dress
This dress was worn in June, 2022 and is a perfect combination of classic and romantic.
It features an Aldora crepe bodice (a beautiful, ethereal lighter weight fabric) with a scoop neck (modest enough not to show cleavage but accentuates your neck and collarbones) and chic shoulder straps (no worries about constantly tugging up a strapless dress) with an illusion fabric detail under the arms. Not having any fabric in the armpit area also eliminates the worry of sweat stains when you hit the dance floor!
The tulle ballgown skirt is trimmed at the bottom with horsehair and Swarovski crystals; the tulle is layered under the dress which adds volume making it perfect to twirl in and the crystals glam it up just a little without going overboard with sequins, etc. The scoop back is also finished with crystal buttons over a zipper closure. I added the included belt as a finishing touch but that can easily be removed or replaced.
Alterations were made by a professional seamstress which include: removing one of the tulle layers in the skirt to make it slightly less full; the length was taken up (I am 5' 2" without shoes but wore 2 1/2 - 3" heels); made the neckline a little lower; tightened the shoulder straps; removed the sewn-in bra padding but the boning was left in (you can have pads sewn in or use "boob" tape if needed); a bustle was added which will save you $$ having to add one.
Condition: The dress is in very good condition with only two minor "blemishes" which aren't even noticeable unless you're looking for them. A few of the Swarovski crystals on the bottom of the dress have loosened but can easily be reinforced with a few stitches by your seamstress. And the tip of the slip UNDER the skirt in one or two places has a tiny bit of dirt from brushing against the floor that is BARELY noticeable that didn't fully come out during dry cleaning. Nobody will see it underneath the skirt but an option would be to hem it slightly.
This lovely Maggie Sottero dress was comfortable and not as heavy as I thought to wear. Maybe THIS is the dress of your dreams!
